2007-11-14 The Absents and the start of something new It has been far too long since we talked. After finishing up a tour in Germany last year which included supporting Placebo, we had to think things over. We had to dream it up again. We made a few difficult decisions - one came from within the group itself. Magnus left the band after being United's bass player since the start. Sometimes you want different things in life. United wishes him all the best in the future. Magnus was replaced by Arvid who really fits the new line up.
Another decision was to start working on new material for the next United album. The band has spent several months bashing it out in the rehearsing room and began recording the new songs this summer with the production assistance of Carl-Michael Herlöfsson - who also mixed Slick.
The band has prepared 20 new tracks. The songs were recorded in Decibel studios in Stockholm where artists such as Pink, Ed Harcourt, Kelly Clarkson and Trettioåriga kriget have also worked. No release date is yet set.
"Patrik": We know that the songs will stick out. They are weird rock tunes - and we haven't forgotten how to be pretentious! We are really proud of the result so far and the songs will be ready early next year.

j'espère qu'ils vont se remuer un peu pour début printemps alors, parce que je suis très très impatiente d'écouter ça !! et tu sais s'il y a de potentielles dates en vue?
